In other horse news, HITS, or Horse Shows in the Sun, is sponsoring two additional weeks of competition this year. With a draw of 600 more horses for the events, Marion County anticipates approximately a $4.5 million impact.
The Ocala Holiday Classic and Ocala Holiday Festival began on December 9th and will run through December 20th. The traditional HITS Ocala Winter Circuit will begin on January 19th and will run through the February 19th.
