Market spotlight: Woodfields

If you're looking for an established community with tons of charm in Ocala, you will not want to miss Woodfields. It is a collection of neighborhoods in "Old Ocala" known for its canopied streets lined with live oaks and homes full of character dating as far back as the 19th century.

Woodfields features one of the best locations in Ocala, as it is incredibly close to downtown with certain areas within walking distance of the Square, and it is also conveniently located near Ocala's best shopping, dining and hospitals.

There are currently 22 homes on the market in Woodfields, which represents 5.9 months of inventory, indicating an almost perfectly balanced market, neither favoring the buyers nor the sellers. This inventory is fairly representative of Ocala as a whole, which has 6.1 months of inventory, and of Marion County, which has 6.7 months of inventory.

It is worth noting that there has been a steady increase in the average price per square foot as well as the average sales price over the last nine months. Furthermore, there has also been a slight dip in the number of homes sold per month.

Plenty of homes on the market here feature large lots and upgraded features or renovations. Overall, the market in this beautiful community is fairly steady and active and is certainly one of the most desirable neighborhoods to live in. With so many homes on the market ranging in price from $37,000 to $3.25 million, you are sure to find something you are looking for.
